July 1, 2008 – for immediate release – Move from LDT to Civil or Civil 3D Since 1998, AutoCAD® Land Desktop software has been the design and documentation solution of choice for tens of thousands of civil engineering and surveying professionals around the world. We want to thank those customers that have made Land Desktop a critical part of their workflow over the years and we look forward to continuing to provide solutions that meet their challenges in the future.
As technology has advanced and the challenges facing engineering organizations have become increasingly complex, we have decided it is time to look beyond Land Desktop to new technology that better addresses the demands of today’s engineering organizations. As a result, AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009 products will be the last release of Land Desktop software.
AutoCAD® Civil and AutoCAD® Civil 3D® software products are Autodesk’s next generation of model-centric civil engineering software. They provide project teams with a comprehensive surveying, design, analysis, and documentation solution to deliver land development, transportation, and environmental projects faster and with improved accuracy.
From July 8th, 2008 through April 17th, 2009 eligible AutoCAD Land Desktop 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 customers can crossgrade to AutoCAD® Map 3D, AutoCAD Civil, or AutoCAD Civil 3D for a special promotional price.
This offer is available to the following customers who own AutoCAD Land Desktop 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 commercial licenses: • Commercial customers in the U.S. and Canada • Autodesk Strategic Accounts in the U.S. and Canada • U.S. Government (Federal/State/Local) accounts purchasing via DLT • Canadian Government (Federal/Provincial/Local) accounts purchasing directly from Autodesk
The following versions of Autodesk® Land Desktop, and AutoCAD Land Desktop are eligible for this offer: • Autodesk Land Desktop 2006 • Autodesk Land Desktop 2007 • AutoCAD Land Desktop 2008 • AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009
